Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon was a retired American professional wrestler who wrestled professionally in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) and WCW (World Wrestling Championship). Additionally, Razor Ramon started his professional wrestling career in 1984 and rose to fame after joining the WWF in May 1992.

Early life

Scott Oliver Hall Best known by his stage name, Razor Ramon was born October 20, 1958, in St. Mary’s County, Maryland, United States of America. At the time of his death, he was 63 years old and a citizen of the United States. He was also a Christian by religion and had the zodiac sign of Libra. He was the son of an army man. As a result, the family had to move every year. Other than that, there is no other information about his parents and siblings.

Speaking about his academic background, he attended ‘All American High’ School in Munich, Germany. His family then returned to the United States, where he attended ‘St. Mary’s College.’ He had developed an interest in wrestling and began preparing for it when he graduated from college.

He broke his hip in March 2022 and underwent hip replacement surgery. on March 12, 2022, a blood clot was removed after surgery, and he suffered three heart attacks as a result. He died at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia March 14, 2022, aged 63

professional career

He made his professional wrestling debut in South Carolina in 1984 and later competed for the NWA in CWF (Championship Wrestling Florida) (National Wrestling Alliance). AWA (American Wrestling Association) noticed him in 1985 and signed him up for their league. In 1987 he wrestled in the NJPW (New Japan Pro-Wrestling) league. He left AWA to join NWA in 1989, just a year before the company went out of business.

In June of that year, he appeared in a vignette and house show as part of NWA’s new push to nurture new talent. He debuted as a professional wrestler with WCW in July. He attempted to enter a WWF Wrestling Challenge in 1990 but was unsuccessful. He then rejoined NJPW.

He also competed under the nickname “Texas Scott” in the CWA “Catch Cup 90” league in Germany. He was part of WCW’s promotion in Puerto Rico in 1991. In April of that year, he returned to WCW under the nickname “The Diamond Studd”.

Signed by the WWF in 1992, he began wrestling under the nickname “Razor Ramon,” playing a high-profile Cuban criminal from Miami. He also joined WCW in 1996 and helped found the famous “New World Order” group. He was fired from WCW in October 2000, allegedly for drunken behavior while on tour in Germany. He was forced to retire from wrestling in 2000 due to a neck injury. In 2001 he returned to Japan and joined NJPW. In Alabama and Florida he also took part in some competitions.


In 2002 he joined the WWF on the condition that he and his friends Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash restore the “New World Order”. That same year, he fought in a TNA event, the promotion’s first pay-per-view event. He and friend Kevin Nash made a comeback to TNA in 2004. In 2007, he returned to WCW and resumed his Razor Ramon character. He also appeared in JCW (Juggalo Championship Wrestling) that year.

He wrestled at Continental Championship Wrestling in May 2010. He also left the company in June after nearly eight years of irregular work for TNA due to personal and legal issues. From 2011 to 2012 he continued to work for independent promotions such as Vintage Pro Wrestling, I Believe in Wrestling and others.

In 2015 he was a member of GFW (Global Force Wrestling) for a short time. He also appeared at a WWE event called Raw that year. He competed in the 2016 World Association of Wrestling televised tournaments in England. In 2019, he returned to WWE for a RAW Reunion event.

He won his first “WWE Intercontinental Championship” in October 1993. He was the first WWE wrestler to win a four-time “WWE Intercontinental Champion” from 1993-1996. In 1997 he was named champion of WCW World War 3. Competition. In 2014 he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as “Razor Ramon”.

As part of the New World Order group, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2020. He was a two-time winner of the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
